Win Xp Hangs Up when I use NERO 6.3.1.17

Can anyone help please?
I have Win Xp and sp1a and all the updates installed. I
also have installed the latest version of Nero
Xpress/Burning Rom SE. Each time I run the programme...,
It will work, and sometimes won't - resulting my system
to crash with a BLUE SCREEN. I think my problem is with
NERO because when I uninstall the programme, I never get
blue screens. Only with NERO I do. The latest error I
got for example reads as follows:

ERROR!
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
technical info
***STOP: 0*0000000A (0*00000000, 0*0000001C, 0*00000001,
0*804F64AC)
Beginning dump of physical memory!

The error messages I get are similar, but not always,
like this one.

Can anybody please help me? I've tried all i can to my
capacity and can no longer figure it out. What should I
do?
I keep sending error reports upon restart of Win Xp, but
the support post has nothing to offer me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I thank you for your time,
Kind Regards,
Serg.

I'll hazard, without looking up the stop code which you should do via
Google, that your computer is suffering from one of
1. Bad RAM module
2. Failing HD
3. Overheating

Burning CDs taxes all of the above on computers, some computers more
than others and can reveal weaknesses that other activities don't
reveal. For 1, get memtest86.exe; for 2, get the HD diagnostic utility
from the drive manufacturer; and for 3, check that the fans are working
and monitor the temp with Aida32.exe, hmonitor.exe, and the like.
Google for sources of all of these.

Also, do basic maintenance: disk cleanup, defrag, monitor startups

Serg, after uninstalling Nero run this file to remove all traces from
the registry, then reinstall. Make sure you then disable the inbuilt
burning software by right clicking on the drive in my computer, go to
properties, then the recording tab and remove the check mark in Enable
CD recording on this drive. You could also try disabling the IMAPI cd
burning Com Service under services, but don't try the other things first.

You don't have any other CD burning software installed do you? They can
fight.
