Win XP Error leads to random rebooting

I Have Win XP Home SP1, and I have a reoccuring problem;
my computer would randomly reboot. The rebooting occurs
mostly when playing games or when the screen saver is on.
I have found in the Application portion of the 'Event
Viewer', that there are two constant errors that occur
the same time my PC would reboot. Here they are:
________________________________________________________
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Perflib
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2002
Date: 7/7/2003
Time: 10:05:51 AM

Description:
The open procedure for service "WmiApRpl" in
DLL "C:\WINDOWS\System32\wbem\wmiaprpl.dll" has taken
longer than the established wait time to complete. There
may be a problem with this extensible counter or the
service it is collecting data from or the system may have
been very busy when this call was attempted.

Hi Jerome,

I was cruising through this NG and ran across your problem.... I did a
Google search on it, and found the attached info...
http://forums.zonelabs.com/zonelabs/board/message?board.id=win_za_msgs&message.id=300

Are you using ZoneAlarm? Me too Version 3.7.193, as well as XP Home, SP1a +
all the Hotfixes and updates....

I am not having the error that you report, though.... hmmm.... good for me?

Anyway... I hope the link helps. It gives you some things to try, at least.

Good Luck
