Win XP doesnt see my LG DVD RW

suddenly, after burning yesturday fine
the windows does recongnize my LG H30N DVD burner
it does not appear in the explorer
and in the device manager it is as yellow ! with a problem

when trying to restore the system I got a message

changes made to dirve(s) E:\ after this point cannot be reversed
because the drive was either excluded from system restore monitoing or
was turned off or removed


now if I put bootable cd in it and reboot windows the cd read fine and
boot from it

please help

XP does not recognize a DVD-RW disc

Also:
Right click on the My Computer Icon on your desktop and select Manage and
select: Device Manager
(Or: Go to Start, then select 'Run' and in the Open field enter: devmgmt.msc
then click on the OK button)

After the Device Manager window opens, click the "+" to expand the
DVD/CD-Rom drives option.
Next, right-click on the DVD Drive you are having problems with and select
Uninstall.
You will be prompted to reboot your computer,
Reboot and Windows XP will re-install the DVD Drive.
