Win Media Player 9

Just downloaded/installed (twice!) v9.00.00.2980 and for
some reason both of the installs FREEZE the system at
random when playing MP3's with the visualtion graphics
enabled (haven't tried anything else). Locks up so bad
can't even do a CTRL/ALT/DEL. Running Win 2K Pro/obviously
all the necessary hardware including Creative SB 5.1
card/drivers. HELP?
