WIN 98 Emulation

I just picked up a new computer w/Windows XP and when I went to set up Pervasive SQL 7 on it I encountered problems. The rest of the computers in my office use WIN 98 and we use Pervasive SQL 7 to run the database for our accounting software. Obviously SQL 7 came out some 5 years ago, long before WIN XP. I have heard that you can have WIN XP run certain programs emmulating WIN 98. Is there any truth to this and how would I go about doing it

Thanks
