format the disk. This is duel boot system win98 see's
everything fine. Thank you for anytime you spend on this
issue! Please let me know if anyone has any idea's so I

If you have the Windows 2000 CD or the 4 boot floopies, boot from either. After the files load, select repair. Repair will then
ask you if you want to use the Emergency repair or the Recovery Console. Select Recvery Console. You will need the Administrator
password. When the Recovery Console loads, at the prompt type " chkdsk [drive]: /p /r " (without the quotes) and if there was
damage to the file system, this shoud repair it if it isn't too mangled. Not sure if this will be helpful but with any harddrive
problem, it's the place to start. If this was useless, then you might want to uninstall the harrddrive from the Device Manager and
reboot.
