Why won't all of my Outlook contacts sync with my palm OS device?

After reading an article in PC World I learned that my last update to Outlook
2003 did not automatically update the .pst file ot the latest version. I
followed the directions to accomplish this and the data transfer went without
issue and Outlook is running fine. However, after doing this only ~40 out of
2150 contacts will now download to my Palm based Treo 650. Calender, memos,
and tasks all sync/download fine. I have made sure that I have all the
updates from both providers and have tried uninstalling and re-installing the
Palm software but it will only synch the same ~40 contacts. I have compared
file types of those contacts that will sync with those that do not and do not
see any difference.

Indeed, Outlook would never automatically update a PST file, nor should it.
You should specify what "directions" you followed to update yours.
Recognize that synchronization problems are not Outlook problems. You should
pursue this with Palm.
