Why to fonts change type and size from design to preview?

Frontpage 2003
My fonts keep changing style and size on my web page when I go from design
to preview. It has nothing to do with the way my monitor displays text,
because some of the fonts show up and others don't. I can format two
paragraphs in Verdana and have one show up correct and the other in Times New
Roman - sometimes smaller. Random sentences show up bold and some words are
underlined and made into hyperlinks - all on their own. Can anyone help?
Thanks

How are you applying the font??

Using CSS or applying it via the font dialog??

hello Steve,
i am someone who has EXACTLY the same problem as Paul and came to the forum
to ask but am trying this thread first.

i am a newbie and keep things simple as much as possible so i do not know
how to use css yet and am not quite sure what you mean by 'font dialogue'.

i make a page in 'design' which i am pleased with and then go to 'preview'
and it is all over the place! Horrific!! it has happened several times,
sometimes bigger or smaller and sometimes the same. apart from sometimes
changing the font size, using the littleA and the bigA on the top tool bar, i
am not aware of changing any text size instructions.

i though that these littleA and bigA are just to change the size of your
highlit text as a quick option.

advice will be very gratefully received!

all the best from miranda
