Same DELL computer with XP Home. I have it running better, except for
the fact that I think it has the trojan virus connected with runndll
which I cannot remove, but now when I connect my CAT5 from my router
to her ether net connector, it quickly crashes with the so-called
dreaded blue screen that says the following:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer.

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart
your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software
manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software, disable BIOS options such as caching or shadowing. If
you need to use safe-mode.......(snip)

Tech info:

*** Stop: 0x000000d1 (0xff309800,0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf9854484)

*** ubehqxa - Address f98544484 base at f9854000, date stamp 4263c4d4

Can anyone advise what to do here?

Thanks

I suspect that some sort of virus/trojan/spyware item has gotten past
your protection.

The offending module is identified as "ubehqxa" and a Google web
search fails to locate a single reference to any item with that name.

Make certain your antivirus software is completely up to date, with
the virus definitions not more than a week old and do a complete virus
scan of your computer. Then get a "second opinion" by using one of
the following free online virus scanners:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/

Follow this up with MVP Jim Eshelman's Spyware Quick Fix procedure at
http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm to identify and remove any spyware
from your system.

Good luck

Well, for next time, dont download and/or install any trojans. It's all
up to you.
