Why is top line of page in MS Word half hidden?

When I use a font size larger than 18, the top half of my letters on the
first line are cutoff. It tends to do this with clipart too.

You may have the line spacing of the Normal style or some other style set to an
"Exactly" measurement instead of "Single" or one of the other selections. That
prevents larger characters or inline graphics from extending above the specified
measurement.

Are you using Exact line spacing? Do you have the "white space between
pages" hidden?

I went to the line spacing button at top of 2007 home screen and went to
options and in the spacing tab changed from "exactly" to "single" and it
fixed my problem. Thanks to Jay Freedman, and Happy New Year!
