why does XP home have a "terminal services" service?

I know that XP home does not have the remote desktop feature,
but I was looking at the list of services on a XP home machine
and noticed that it has a terminal services service!

Why? what is that? Can I somehow enable remote desktop on it?


Another service I saw is RDPSSW32.

what does that do?

XP Pro can run programs using Terminal Services, either in the server or
client roles. For a good explanation of what Terminal Services (or any
other service), check out the information here:
