Why does these Epson printers all use different Ink Cartridges.

Yes take similar 6 ink models like 830U, 915 & 925/935 all use different
cartridges..


But why, the Printers all have very similar specs..?

All developed at different times. It doesn't really make a difference since
the print head is in the printer. Ink is the same in all the cartridges.
Cartridges also get design changes along the way.

No the 915 is the basic model of the 925 but uses different cartridges..?
