Why do I get a "550 Could not open: input/output error"

I used to be able to publish my web pages easily. Unfortuantely my hard drive
died and when I reinstalled Frontpage 2002 and tried to publish any web page,
I sign in to my server successfully but then get an error box:

"550 Could not open: input/output error"

What has gone wrong?

Also, but less important, I used to be able to publish pages with two boxes:
the one on the left had the web pages I was working on, and the one on the
right had the web pages on the server. I don't get that anymore, but would
like to get it back.

Thanks.

Visit your site(s) with Internet Explorer, choose Edit with
Microsoft Office FrontPage from the File drop down menu.
Enter you username and password, when asked. Publish
(selecting all pages) to your hard drive. When it says
there are no FrontPage Server Extensions installed, you
know that and don't care.

Create an empty folder on your hard drive.
Open FrontPage.
Click File > Open Web.
Enter the address of your website as in http://www.mywebsite.com
Enter the user name and password, and when it opens, click File > Publish Web.
Select the folder you created in your computer and click OK.
When it is done, Click File > Close Web.
Then click File > Open Web and browse to the copy of your website that you just published to your
computer.

You're back in business.
