Why do contacts forwarded as vcards not arrive with categores?

When I send my boss a vcard, the categories are gone. His category list is
the same as mine. Is there any way to pass the categories along as well?
What about copying all my contacts to a .pst file, deleteing his contacts
and importing from the .pst. Will the categores be there if I do it that way?

Instead of sending the contact as vcf, add it as an attachment to the email.

Outlook doesn't support the Category when saving in the vcf-format as it
uses the 2.1 specification of the vcf-format and not the 3.0 specification.

You can still send the contacts with the category information when you send
them in the msg-format.
Another way to go would be to use a 3rd party vcf-tool for Outlook.
Some are listed here;
