Help with Contacts, sub folders, categories

I have my contacts currently stored on a public server (which I access
through public folders). My contacts are divided into categories, some
contacts have more than one category applied to them. Currently, they all
stay in one Contact file (which can be exported as a *.pst). What I want to
do is have my contacts separated into sub-folders in accordance with the
categories they are associated with. Thus, if I create a contact which will
be categorized under "Family" - I would like it to go into that folder
automatically. I was able to recreate this once but never again. I can send
screen shots of what I want to achieve if need be. I want this to all happen
in real time, need be if I create a new contact. Please help!

I don't know of any way to do that automatically, but if you're using
categories, you don't need subfolders. Just set up views that show you the
categories.
