Why can't I play videos in Windows Mail

Jack

I receive .wmv files from friends regularly. When I try to open them in
Windows Mail, like I used to be able to in Outlook Express, I get the
following message:

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action. Creat an association in the Set Associations control panel."

There is, indeed, a program associated with the file and it works if I open
the messages in Outlook. I can also save the files and play them by just
clicking on them. Windows Mail is the only place I have a problem. What am I
missing?

Please re-read my message. I said that I can play them in every situation but
Windows Mail.

Go to Default Programs, either from the Start Menu or in Control Panel, and
ensure that WM has all its defaults selected.
