Whos has the fastest computer now?

Hey Alf! CustomPC is a magazine all about... CustomPC`s and overclocking, u prob seen it in the Newsagents.

They have their own set of 2D apps (audio encoding, Video encoding and image manipulation) as a benchmark system for everyday computer use. Graphics cards dont come into it, but every other part of the system is tested, including the monitor, to some extent. There seems to be an opinion that its a kind of league of the fastest computers in the U.K.

So not much use to you if ur just after 3D benchmarks. Ah well.

Oh yea we do alf but there jibber. lol but you got a nice set up same color cases nice mines taller and prob heavier though Duh... lol things abeast

i plann on getting a newer case as mention before , should help me keep the Video card temps down a little better, and it looks sleeker too

Finally got 3Dmark 05 and i got a score of 4687, man those CPU test are killers (GPU test look good!)

Hey alf i got pcmark 03 and 05 and pcmark04 and aquamark for my new comp and for some reason i got bad tests maybe the lil overclock i did made it unstable so im gonna benchmark again and ill let you know those scores.. becuase the first bench mark on 3dmark03 was 8500 something but heres the ones i just got

aquamark 37,847
- gfx - 5,757
- cpu - 5,520

i know that has to be wrong so i dunno we will see those were with cpu overclocked to 2.16 so it must be unstable

i tried gettin that 3dmark thing to work ... it say direct3d initialization failed ... whats up with that ... oh, and i think i might be doin a sin to my pc ... i OCed it but didnt actually do it manually ... i jus did it by 10% .. now its runnin 3.15 which is kinda nice, (its the first time ive done it) but im kinda scared im messin up

oh, and does OCing use alot of ram ... cuz i jus booted up and ram usage is up to 43% ... i jus thought it was kinda wierd ... cpu temp is 47C ...

Im not very sure, cause when i OC my mem usage still stays at 2%. Kenny knows more than me on OCing perhaps he can answer this.

ok ... i guess i should check that out ... but what about the error message that pops up about the direct3d initialization failed.

WHOA!!! ... its up to 67% ... i definitely think something is wrong but i dont know what

How many background processes are running in the back ground?

go to "Start", click "run" and type in "dxdiag" (without commas) once the panel shows up click on the display tab and make sure the Direct 3D, DirectDraw Acceleration, and AGP texture acceleration are all enabled.

i jus rebooted ... the first thing i did when i logged on was check my physical memory usage ... it was at 38% ... now its at 43% ... i dont understand ... i have messenger, norton, 2 monitorin prgrams, and mozilla ... thats it ... oh and yes they are enabled

hmmmmm dunno your problem somethings using alot of your memory though but off topic a lilttle 3dmark03 score is 8013 still sad im gonna still check settings
