Thanks DanS. That's all I wanted to know when I opened this thread. Sorry
to have caused such a commotion; however, I did learn a lot from it. It's
also relevant to Vista in an oblique way, since it would appear that VISTA
does have this capability--as far as drag and dropping data to DVD/CD + - RW
s is concerned.

Let's just let this drift off into cyberspace.

Looks like Vista support for UDF is:

(Read+write) UDF v1.02, 1.50, 2.0x, 2.50, (Read) 2.60

It works, but good luck getting past DRM :)
