Where Is It? \(Picture & Fax Viewer\)

Questions:
1. What is the HD location of the "Picture and Fax
Viewer" application?

2. Is "Picture and Fax Viewer" somehow involved in
Irfanview's ability to open a downloaded graphic file?
If so,why has it just now surfaced after years of
Irfanview use?

3. With which is the registry designation,"regsvr32
shimgvw associated: "Picture and Fax Viewer"
or "Irfanview"? Or is it associated with both? (Irfanview
cannot open a photo when this registry entry is disabled)

Picture and Fax Viewer has come out of nowhere to overide
Irfanview. Irfanview is configured to handle all the
graphic file extensions it has the capability for, but
graphics are opened by Picture and Fax Viewer instead.

If you want Irfanview to open your photo files, right click on one of them.
Click on Open with, Click on Choose program, Click on Irfanview on the
opening list and check the box "Always open..."
