Where to download patch for latest JPEG vulnerability to W XP withSP1?

I have Windows XP Pro with SP1a. I'd like to manually download the
patch against the latest JPEG buffer overrun vulnerability, but
don't want to use Windows Update. Is there a page on the Microsoft
site where this patch can be downloaded and run locally from my
own hard drive?

Hi

You can download the relevant patches from here (there are different
patches for different software products):

MS04-028 - Buffer Overrun in JPEG Processing (GDI+) Could Allow Code
Execution (833987)

Just got to windows update and scan for updates. When it lists it,
click on the read more. This will take you to a KB article or bulletin
that will lead you to the link for downloading the patch. This works
for any of the patches.

I didn't know this, since I don't use Windows Update for anything.
I will bear it in mind.
