Where do I find lost email messages in Outlook?

I use Outlook 2003 for email.

Suddenly today all of my "Sent" messages in folders have disappeared.

Can anyone help by advising me how I can retrieve them please?

Are you using a view that hides read messages?
Are you using AutoArchive?
Do you have more than 1 pst? Switch to the folder list view (Ctrl+6) to
check for more sent folders.
