Where are Import Specifications Stored?

I have created a number of import specifications in a database in Access 2K.
I want to be able to use them in multiple databases for bringing a comma
separated text file into a table. Its the same text file every time and the
same table name each time, but in different databases (for alot of complex
reasons). Importing works perfectly in the database the import specs were
created in. But where are the import specs stored in Access? Obviously they
are not stored in a place like the tables, forms, etc., where you can go and
get them. Can they be copied from one database to another, or do you have to
go out and do them all over again for each database? Thanks!

Hi Mike,

Another option for importing spec's to another database
(at least in Acess XP, which is what I'm using, not sure
if it is in A2K) is to choose File|Get External
Data|Import... from the menu (or right click and choose
import in the database window) the same way that you
would normally import tables.

Then, choose the database that has the spec's that you
want to import. The import objects dialog box will then
open. Click on the "Options" button to display options.
If you check the box labeled Import/Export Specs, all
Import/Export specs will be imported along with any other
objects that you choose (tables, queries, etc). If you
don't choose any other objects, only the Import/Export
Specs will be imported (you won't get to choose specific
specs, all specs from the source database will be
imported).

Not sure if that will work for you, but may be worth
checking into.
