When is service pack 2 due for windows xp?

All Microsoft has stated is "mid-2004":

Anything else from a 3rd party site is nothing more than guessing.

My guess is between 15-31 August.

Sure. Microsoft does - when they decide. Just leave Automatic Updates
enabled and you'll get notified when it gets released. You do plan on
doing backups and saving disk images before updating, right? Or maybe
you like weaving that parachute as you are falling.

couple of days.
