When I log out a message comes up saying ending program specialoff

I have windows xp home edition. Just recently whenever I go to log out a
message comes up saying ending program specialoffers4. Specialoffers4
appears to be part of the windows operating system and I can't seem to find a
way to stop the message from displaying. It is frustrating since it is an
extra step I don't need in order to log out and sometimes it takes several
tries before it will end.

Sounds like spyware to me. Try Ad-Aware from www.lavasoft.de or Spybot
search and destroy. Update both before running and you'll be amazed what
they find on your system if you have never run them before.

From Sandy: Dowloaded Ad-Aware and ran it. It found all sorts of crap but the Specialoffers4 message still came up when I went to log off. This time,however, it said Socket Notification first, then specialoffers4.
