No. I just know that Ubuntu is a crippled OS for geeks who place no value
on their time. To use Ubuntu you need to spend hours to tweak Ubuntu, run
cryptic commands, load INFERIOR Open Sores software to try to get anything
done.

Ubuntu is worth what you pay for it: NOTHING.

You know no such thing being as you haven't installed and evaluated Ubuntu.

I installed a tested that crappy Ubuntu and it's really garbage. But you
are use to garbage and most likely can't afford Windows 7. Too bad.

I have three Windows 7 licenses being delivered from the States. I just
ordered an HP laptop 17" which has Windows 7 Home Premium 64 preinstalled.

So you already have Vista and now you ordered three Windows 7 licenses? Why
is that? You play games on 3 different computers at once? BULLSHIT. You
also ordered a new HP laptop with Windows 7? Seems like you need Windows 7
to run lots of games or do you need Windows 7 to get real work done?

Windows 7 shares are not able to be accessed by 9.10. Apparently it's
something to do with a fault in the implementation of Samba and will be
fixed in a maintenance release shortly. (Or so I've been told on the Ubuntu
British mailing list...)

One license is for me and for gaming. The other two are for friends who
don't want to pay EU prices. The laptop is for my child who is at
university and Windows is required there, along with having a computer.
Any other stupid questions?

Back up smb.conf and try GADMIN-SAMBA.
