I agree with the increasingly evident lack of choices. And some people do
purchase things just to consume for consumptions sake.

I have a problem with Bob Myers trying to make it look

i also agree with this: meaning 1) that the remaining
CRT monitors are still superior to flatscreen and
2) that myers has been and is a flatscreen fan-boy

anyone that reads myers' n/g posts this past 4 years
knows that myers is very biased in favor of flatscreen

Funny how you've been unable to demonstrate that, though.
It's just the same whine that your particular personal preferences
aren't recognized throughout the known universe as fundamental
laws of nature.

#1 is clearly true based on my recent purchase
of a Philips 22" CRT and a Philips 19" CRT
(vs a pretty decent Samsung 20" 204B flatscreen)
