I am trying to get the WORD window to be midsized, but it will only allow me
to minimize or maximize. There is no help for midsizing the open WORD window.
The middle button is called the Maximize/Restore button. When the window is
maximized the icon on that button looks a little different than if the
window is "restored". if the window is maximized, click that button and you
can manually resize the window to whatever "midsize" dimensions you prefer.
Use the edges & corners to adjust width & height, drag it around by its
Title bar.When you restore from Maximized or restore from Minimized your
last manually set size (and position on the desktop) will be reapplied.
Under some circumstances, Restore doesn't work, so the resizeable window
doesn't appear. When that happens, it can be fixed by clicking on the Word
window in the taskbar, ctrl+clicking on a second open program in the
taskbar, and then right-clicking either of the two selected programs and
choosing Cascade.
