Hello,

what is the reason to have these two enviroment settings? They both
point to c:\winnt.
Does %windir% come from customer windows?

Thank you for your effort!

Yes they'll always point to the same location. Probably backward
compatibility.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
Reg_Sz
systemroot=YourPath

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment
Reg_Expand_Sz
windir=%systemroot%
