what has taken over my favorites?

Hi,
I have windows xp home edition and recently I downloaded the limewire
software. Since then, I have had 3 favorites folders show up on my internet
explorer favorites menu. One is about adult porn content, one is about
gambling, and one is about protecting privacy. Each folder has several
links to different websites. I cannot get rid of these folders. Everytime
I delete them, they come back next time I restart IE. Can anyone tell me
how to permanently delete these folders? I'll uninstall Limewire if that's
what it takes because frankly, I'm not impressed.

Thanks,
Jim

Welcome to Limewire :).

Beware of those peer to peer sharing programs, many of them come with all
kinds of neat little goodies with them that you didn't ask for.

And, I would bet, should you uninstall LImeware, some will remain.

Do you have a good adware/sybot scanner?
I use Ad Aware 6 SE, does a pretty good job. Plus, there is a free version.

Adaware se does a great job, but don't limit yourself to just one
adware/malware program get hijackthis and spywareblaster, spybot S&D, just
one won't do it these days, it takes a full armory to get rid of some pests.
