What are those files ?

All of a sudden, I find my "My documents" folder full of .IDX files.
They are all 1 Kb in size.
Where do they come from, and is it safe to delete them ?

These are index files and help fast searching and stuff. They are safe and
can be deleted. I think you can disable this option in the services but that
takes fast searching off (which i have at the moment)
