welcome screen

Every time Vista Start or restart after welcome screen, there will be only
mouse appearing on the screen black background. i have to start the tasks
manager 1st then i can get my normal screen back by clicking a documents
files. there's anyone can help me...???

Hi,

Something is corrupting the winlogon entry. Run regedit from the
start/search line and go here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Double click the shell entry in the right pane, replace what's there with
just "explorer.exe" (no quotes), then close up and reboot.
