Weird Type-Over Problem - Word 2003

Hello,

Sorry if this is the incorrect group. As an example of the problem.
Perhaps its a feature I am not aware of.

A user opens MS Word 2003 (w/ latest SP etc).
Types a few letters such as: asdfghjkl
Then the user highlights "asdf"
Then presses any key (ie "T")

What happens: Tasdfghjkl

I would expect the highlighted text to be replaced with "T". But this
doesn't happen.
If I press Insert on the keyboard to turn on OVR, (in the same example
above) I get:
"Tsdfghjkl"
So it replaces the 1st letter of the highlighted text.

Windows 2003, Terminal Server w/ Citrix PS 4.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit tab | check the "Typing
replaces selection" box | OK.
