weird thing of a upgrade to XP Pro

I wanted to write today to clear my doubts on the two computers I have. I
understanded of the boot.ini . Thanks everyone who responded.

I have a question.
I upgraded a windows 2000 computer into windows xp pro, so now I finished
setup, I went exploring around the hard disk. I checked using %systemroot%
the windows xp directory is C:/WINNT, the other computer's windows directory
was C:/Windows, did I do a mistake during upgrade?

Thank You
Edgar

No, you didn't make a mistake. The default %systemfolder% for Win2K
was "C:\Winnt." By performing an upgrade, you installed WinXP into the
same folder.
