Weird problem with IE 6

I have a user withan IE 6 problem. For the past few days, IE 6 will work for
a time (usually 24hrs) and then when trying to connect to a website the
browser will just display a blank page with the "Done" status in lower left
corner. Funny thing also, you can't view the "Options" in the "Tools" menu
either. You can open a html file on the local hard drive and see the
"Options" but not when you try to connect on the internet. Have reloaded IE
6 more than once and it works ok for a little while then back to nothing.
Have scanned for browser hijackers but come up with nothing. Any other
suggestions? Thanks.

I have the same problem on my only W98SE machine. It happened about
the same time as the last Windows Security Update. Windows Explorer
is also effected. Is this true for this user as well?

Cheers!

I have problems with both. IE just shuts down on me after a few minutes.
I've re-installed everything, run virus program, adware program, abled
pop-up, disabled pop-up, rebooted...I cannot click on a link because it will
freeze on me...I can only open one window at a time...sometimes it will shut
down immediately, sometimes I will be able to check 2-3 e-mails...Don't know
what else to do.

Hi Rose... I fixed mine by removing Outlook Express v6 from Add/Remove
Programs and then reinstalled from Windows Update. Now it works just
fine.

Cheers!
