IE 6 does not work

I'm running Windows XP v5.1 SP2 with 4 users. Everything was fine running IE
6 and then one user cannot run IE 6. It keeps getting "The Page cannot be
displayed" as soon as you try to connect to the internet. The other 3 users
are still running IE 6 A-OK. We're running Norton AntVirus continously
(latest is 12/21/2004 rev.33). I also scanned our DB, no viruses. The user
can run netscape no problem to connect to the internet. IE 6 is run from the
identical location for all 4 users. I re-did the shortcut to no avail. Help!

First eliminate any scumware.
CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of these programs ,
download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill
your internet connection. If this should occur, this program, LSPFIX, will
enable you to regain your connection.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

Check to make sure your DNS settings are correct. All my Xp users were having
problems with IE 6. I checked my DNS settings and they were all incorrect. I
was obtaining DNS settings from DHCP and .I had to manually input the
settings to get the correct DNS in there.

Thanks for the advice, but, I saw those messages and have run Spybot,
AdAware, CWShredder and ran LSPFIX as those did not fix problem. When I ran
LSPFIX, there was nothing to repair. One thing I did notice; my default when
i "hit" my IE6 shortcut is yahoo, but on the status line a 127.0.0.1 pops up
instead. I went to the other 3 users that IE6 is workin OK and www.yahoo.com
pops up not 127.0.0.1. I "plugged in" 127.0.0.1 on an OK user and the message
"The page cannot be displayed appears", just like under the user that IE6 is
not working under.
