Weird Print Problems after Converting Databases

Company recently upgraded to Win & Access 2000. Now,
several database applications I had written bomb out when
reports are run, shutting down the applications.
Then it gets strange.
If you go to "Start/Settings/Printers", all the installed
printers have disappeared, and you have to reboot to get
them to show up again for other applications. Has anyone
seen a similar conflict between the print subsystem and
Access? All the other office apps work and print okay.
