Within the last 2 days, my browser, I.E 6.0 SP1, must've
had something done to it. When typing in a search under a
website 'search the internet' field, the results are
returning an error 404, stating the website name you
request does not exist. I've reset the explorer's
defaults and this did not resolve the issue. I've deleted
temp internet files and reset the cookies, still not
resolved. I searched the topics and found that my
experience is similar to the hotbar.com quicks earch
problem, but my problem is not specific to one website.
examples (www.yahoo.com, www.msn.com, www.google.com) Has
anyone heard of anything like this? I have netscape 7.0
as well and the problem does not happen there, so I think
i've isolated the problem to be a setting within internet
explorer or the program must be corrupt. Any and all
feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It prevents access to the most major search engines such as Google, Yahoo,
