Webshots Question

I have version 1.3 of Webshots; has anyone tried Version 2.0 which Webshots
is touting. I'm not a registered user, I just get the daily freebies. They
have some great pics but if 2.0 is just more bloat I can do without it.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe that Webshots is SpyWare,
isn't it ?

Actually I used Webshots for a while and I have heard those rumors also.
I used Adaware, Spybot, and many other programs that catch spyware
and none of them found anything wrong with Webshots. ZoneAlarm did not
see unusual activity and it didn't have any strange side-effects.

I think the Webshots-spyware thing is just a rumor or maybe it used to
have spyware and it doesn't anymore. I have not used it in about 5
months though.

No it is not.
No problem whatsoever after years of using it and I have Ad-ware
installed in my system.
You should try to software and download their daily wallpaper.
Those wallpapers are really beautiful.

May have to. I used to have it on my Win98 machine but it was a resource
hog then. Will have to try it out again.

Even though you need to register with them in order to download their
daily wallpaper but it doesn't mean the software that you downloaded is
spyware.

If you worry about spam due to disclosure of your email address, you can
always give out fake email address.

Another thing, don't run webshots on startup. It is waste of resources
but you do need to has it installed in order to open the daily
wallpapers.
