webpage closes/crashes with IE

My education webpage closes/crashes with IE
6.0.

I can see the webpage come up for 2 seconds, then my
browser crashes/closes completely down with no error
message. I have to click the IE icon again to access the
Internet, which works fine on other webpages.

The site I trying to access is http://www.wgu.edu

Does anyone know what code/elements are causing is to
happen?

I have installed and ran AdAware and SpyBot added "OLD"
to host file, renaming it "OLDHOST" as recommended.

I have gone to HijackThis and CWShredder; run these as
well.

Is the next step to uninstall IE and reinstall it? I'm
stumped. I concerned about uninstalling it and re-
installantion since it came with the computer and not as
a CD. Will I need to purchase the disk for reinstallation?

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Dawn

Dawn,

Further to Frank's comments about the Javascript errors in your other thread,
the Javascript errors are about some code dealing with launching
a Java applet called Groopz. The applet launches itself in its own window.

This suggests several possible causes for your problem.
Do you have Java support installed? Which one? MS or Sun?
Which version? Do you have a popup blocker installed and active?

For a test try disabling Java support (e.g. in the Security dialog or however Sun
does it). Disable the popup blocker too just in case the popup is supposed to
occur before the applet is launched.

Good luck
