Hi,

having trouble installing my logitech USB webcam the
video part of it does not install, the hardware is
recognised i.e the microphone is o.k when I test it, and
so is the sound when tested through my headphones.

Wizard error comes up as - :

There was a problem installing this hardware

an error occurred during installation of the hardware

The required section was not found in the inf?
what is inf?
How do I fix this problem in order to get the camera to
work?

Regards,

Eddy

..inf is an information file, its part of the install.
The problem could be your root hub for the usb port, your
video card, the hardware drivers from the install disc
being corrupted, or your OS.Try going to the device
manager and looking for any unidentified devices and also
check the root hubs for the usb ports. Also, check that the
video card supports the hardware.
In the control panel on the left in a grey window is a
section called "other control panel options" and there
you will find the options for the camera, make sure the
camera is the default device.
