Web pages don't display pictures

Why is it that some Web pages don’t display their pictures? Sometimes when I
visit a Web site, instead of seeing pictures, I see a white box or boxes with
an icon in the corner of each box. To remedy this situation I have 1) clicked
IE’s refresh button, 2) cleared IE’s cache, and 3) confirmed that IE’s Show
Pictures option is enabled. All of this has been to no avail. What else can I
do to get these reluctant pictures to show up?

Admittedly, you've done the initial recommendations already, but there are
other details involved. This Web page *should* cover it.

That would depend on what Web site you're trying to view. Do the icons have small red "X"s in them, like this:
?
(Note: That was purely intentional, so if you're viewing this in Internet Explorer, don't bother trying to right-click and select "Show Picture.")

Anyway, if that's what's happening, Internet Explorer has encountered a filename for a picture that it cannot find anywhere on the Web site's server, hence the little red "X." More often than not, there is nothing you can do about that; there is nothing wrong with Internet Explorer; it is working perfectly and normally.

I would try browsing other Web sites to see if this problem is persistent. If it is, I would like to extend my apologies that I was not able to assist you any further.

Red X is for pictures; the blue triangle deal is for flash /shockwave etc.
If you use SpywareBlaster: Tools >Flash killer >Un-check
