I used it for months also and it got to where it wouldn't work. I even
dumped it and reloaded it. Don't know what was the problem.

I went back to WeatherBug. They both have different features I like so it's
six to one, half a dozen to the other. Both free, of course.

It includes Toronto and Winnipeg, but haven't checked for any more.

Has the option of metric. Big improvement over the previous version

I must be missing something, have been getting the weather for Regina,
Sask, in metric ,with it for well over a year, no problem at all. The
newest version has also sped up considerably. Great for me on XP pro.

Yup, I can't recall a time when the metric option wasn't there. Excellent
program, I wouldn't run my computer without it!

Doesn't it just use the weather channel database? That has a huge city
data base.

I used WeatherPulse for a while, but went back to Weather Watcher at
this version 5 upgrade (for the direct rather than work-round use of
degrees C, and including it in the detailed forecast).

Like you, I had no trouble at all finding my standard cities --
Basingstoke and London (UK), and Regina. [I check Regina because my
brother lives there -- the winter temperatures remind me why I moved to
the UK.... ;)]

I'd really like to have a readily-available drop-down box or context-
menu list of my cities, though, rather than having to drill down to the
sub-menu on the options page just to change cities.

You can get literally thousands of cities, almost
anywhere from what I could see.

Tried WeatherPulse too, but, the work around just wouldn't work for me so dropped it.

I live about 45 minutes from Regina, and you would have been glad you were't here today.

Been hopeing he would impliment something like this also...my daughter is in Glasgow
right now , heading for the capital in the morning, and I would
like to be able to add a few cities without so much fuss.

For something different, have a look at:
http://latin.wunderground.com/

I'm sure that site provides fine information once you drill down, but
it's extremely unfortunate that your link leads to a page that displays
a map showing *nothing* above the 49th parallel.

There is a US map and a world map. Clicking on an appropriate section of the
world map will take you to anywhere (you may then have to click on the maps
again to narrow down the location).
