warn before delete or warn before deleting

My WinXP Pro system stopped warning me before deleting a file.
99% of the time, that's not a problem, but if I accidentally hit [Del]
or something, there is no way to know if I did so via the warning
pop-up, so I would prefer to have it back.

Where does the option to control this reside? My [Tools] menu
does not seem to have a check box for this.

Right click on the Recycle Bin. Left click on Properties. At the bottom is
a radio button to check or uncheck for the delete confirmation. If it isn't
checked you won't get the delete confirmation.

Just right click on the recycle bin
and have a look at properties

Hi,

If you are referring to deleting a file on it's way to the recycle bin,
right click on the recycle bin and select Properties. Put a check next to
"Display delete confirmation dialog".
