war of the ring online hosting :(

i cannot host war of the ring online. my firewall settings are on low in windows and my symantec internet security is disabled. i leave the virus protection on. i can join games but cannot host them. i have reloaded gamespy but find their site confusing to use. or else i am still just unable to host so their site seems not to work. my game is up to date. i use no router just the cable modem. onboard lan on an asus p4pe. anyone have any suggestions?

You have to find out what ports the game needs to have open in order to host
a game and then open those ports in the firewall.
