Hi everybody!

I am looking for a Windows utility that would enable transfer of clipboard
contents between networked Windows computers (copy on one computer, then
paste on another).

Before you suggest to try ClipPool or Clipboard Rover or any other utility
like these two, I must note that I am not looking for a tool that
automatically (i.e. unconditionally) synchronizes clipboards of multiple
Windows computers. I need a tool that would support a configuration and use
case like this:

-- (1) May there are multiple computers in a LAN; for example, A, B, C, and
D.

-- (2) Computers A and B have some data in their clipboards; C's clipboard
is empty (very improbable but possible :).

-- (3) When user on D invokes some shortcut keystroke (from any
application), a gadget (menu or small dialog) pops up, lists all the other
computers that have nonempty clipboards (in this case computers A and B, but
not C), and lets user choose one.

-- (4) Once the user makes a choice, the contents of the selected computer's
clipboard is placed into user's local clipboard (i.e. D's clipboard) and
thus becomes available for pasting into applications running on D.

Please note that the key requirement is to enable user to perform this trick
as quickly as possible. So, for example, availability of globally available
shortcut to initiate "clipboard contents transfer" is a must. Displaying
names of computers from which clipboard contents can be taken is a must too.

Also it is very important to support as many commonly used clipboard formats
as reasonably possible. :)

Of course, if the tool also offers an option to work in "traditional way"
(i.e. to get clipboards synchronized automatically) -- that would be a great
plus too.

Does anyone know a tool/utility that could do this?

Thank you very much,
Yarik.

This is built into Windows:
ClipBook Viewer
C:\WINNT\system32\clipbrd.exe
The ClipBook, Network DDE, and Network DSDM services must be running.

Thanks Austin, but the point is we need something much less awkward than
ClipBook. It should work as I described in my original message: copy (one
keystroke), go to another computer, transfer clipboard (two keystrokes or
so), paste (one keystroke). ClipBook requires too many ceremonies between
the initial copy operation and final paste operation (including naming its
"pages", as far as I understand).
