Want to go to 'Native' mode.

I currently have a three server Citrix MF XPe on top of 3 windows 2000 servers running terminal services. I have two 2000 domain controllers. Unfortunately, I also have an NT 4.0 BDC, on which everyone's profiles are stored. Prior to upgrading everything to 2003, I'd really like to get rid of the NT4.0 box completely and go to 'Native' mode, but am not quite sure how to handle the profiles - please tell me how I can accomplish this... Any help is greatly appreciated

Marshall.

You'll need to move the profiles and user directories to a Win2K box. THis,
of course, requires changes in the user manager, which may take some time if
your user base is big.

I would probably just go ahead and do a backup of the NT4 box, then upgrade
it to Win2K (or better). Once that's done, change the entire setup to mixed
mode Active Directory, then Native Mode.

Hey Gerry -
Thank you very much for your response. I'm already in 'Mixed' mode and understand how to move the profiles to one of the Server 2000 DCs via Active Directory for Users and Computers. What I'm afraid of is all the policies no longer working as they were initially designed and created on the NT 4.0 box. Once I've moved the profiles, how do I straighten out policies such that they become 2000 rather than NT4.0 ? Lastly, I kind of want to get rid of that box entirely (it really isn't beefy enough to be a server anyway, let alone a BDC. In other words, can I accomplish all this via MS tools of some sort, or am I better off starting off the whole policy and profile thing from scratch ? Again, any help is greatly appreciated. Happy holidays and thanks again for the help thus far.
