Moving to Native Mode

Im looking to move 2000 Active directory enviroment from Mixed Mode to 2000
Native.

I have a single 2000 domain with 2 external trusts to NT 4.0 domains. 1 of
the domains will be going away, and the other will have its users/groups
migrated to the 2000 domain (using ADMT2.0 which is driving the need to
raise the function level). I do not have any NT 4.0 BDC, and only a handfull
of nt4.0 clients.

What is the impact of doing this?

Will raising the function level pose problems for the pre-2000 clients?

From Your point of view - only new functionality, You should not suffer
from any problems caused by this change.

It shouldn't

Great thanks,

My last question I have is; for the one NT Domain that is going away, If I
raise the function level now will I run into any cross domain authentication
issues.

You should not came across any issues with it. Cross domain
authentication with NT domain uses "old style trusts" it doesn't depend
on any AD specific functionality

Joe,

As already mentioned, moving from Mixed Mode to Native Mode has pretty much
only one result: you will either have working WINNT 4.0 BDCs ( in Mixed
Mode ) in that Domain or not ( in Native Mode ).

Granted, there are a couple of other things that this switch does ( group
nesting, Universal Security Groups, etc. )......
