want nul file for ntbackup

I want to be able to back up to a nul file using ntbackup so that it will
clear archive flags without actually performing a backup. i want to do it
this way as opposed to using attrib because ntbackup runs under the system
account and it seems like the right way to do this. when i try giving
nbtbackup a nul file it complains that it is invalid. any ideas? thanks

ntbackup runs under whatever account you run it, same as
any other task. Presumably you currently run it as a scheduled
task. Do the same with attrib.exe - it is a far more appropriate
method to clear archive flags.

thanks for the reply. actually attrib isn't very good for what i want. it
won't reset the archive flag on hidden and system files and i don't want to
clear these flags simply for the purpose of resetting the archive flag.
also, a general purpose bit-bucket (one that works in all situations unlike
NUL) would really be useful.
