Wallpaper question

I looked at the wallpapers available on my desktop. (Control Panel >
Displays) I noticed that, in addition to the wallpapers that came with
windows XP, all image files in the My Pictures folder now show up in the
scroll-down list of available wallpapers.

How did they get into the scroll-down list and how do I delete them from
this list?

I looked in >Windows>Web>Wallpaper, but this file does not contain all the
images available in the scroll-down wallpaper list.

Never mind. I cleaned out all image files from the My Pictures Folder. That
solved the problem in the background display.

Walter for your reference.

Windows XP gets the image files from the following paths:

BMP Files from C:\WINDOWS

BMP, JPG, GIF, JPE, DIB, PNG, HTM files from the following locations:

C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper
C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\My Documents\My Pictures [and all the
sub folders]
C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer
C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes [ and all sub folders]

There may be a way but not that I'm aware of.
