W32 Virus

I Have Norton and my virus definitions are up to date. I
run a scan twice a week and get "NO Infections Found" every
time. Despite that I keep getting virus alerts for the
W32.Welcha.B.Worm & W32.Valla.2048.

Does the Norton package include a firewall?Is it the
firewall that is alerting you to incoming connection
attempts by these two nasties?
Certain firewalls exhibit this kind of virus/trojan-
specific behaviour when a connection is attempted.For
example,f-secure will alert to Doly,MTX,Netbus,Acid
Shivers et al.Other firewalls will simply say:incoming
connection attempt on such and such a port.

If it is just an AV scanner that it alerting you,is it
actually detecting it on your system?Where is the AV
saying the viruses are lurking?Bit more info will lead to
more precise help.
